About this game

Core Defender is a tower defense game with no path drawn on the board, because you draw it. Corrupted packets stream from the entry port and flow toward your CPU core along the shortest route they can find, so every firewall you place rewrites their journey. There's no track to line towers up beside — your towers ARE the maze, and a wall in the right place is worth more damage than the tower on top of it will ever deal.

Four tower types and each one refuses to be a general answer: Pulse is your cheap single-target backbone, Arc chains through three packets and is wasted on a lone one, Cryo deals zero damage forever but slows anything that isn't shielded, and Rail fires a piercing beam down a long lane — only as long as you build it that way. Real mazing beats eight towers without composition, so placement is forced rather than suggested.

Between waves, spend on new towers and upgrades or bank credits at ten percent interest — a genuine save-versus-spend call from wave three onward. Send a wave early for a bonus, and every fifth wave offers an Overclocked variant with tougher packets and double bounty if you can take the extra heat. Packet health grows exponentially, your income doesn't, so every run ends at a number you reached — and a leak heatmap on the death screen shows exactly where your maze started bleeding.
